Brixton

Brixton Village has its own unique character, evolving from a rather dangerous area in the 80s to now being gentrified and a really trendy place to live. The village market is well know for having over 100 independent market traders from over 50 different countries.

Being a true melting pot of cultures and tastes, the music scene is incredible. The area is known as Little Jamaica and has influenced musicians such as David Bowie amongst many others.

The Afro-Caribbean heritage has also had a huge influence on the food and many wonderful restaurants attract people from all over London.

Today, Brixton is a unique blend of traditional market culture and modern gentrification, featuring trendy boutiques and restaurants alongside traditional Caribbean food, shops and businesses.
