Hampstead Heath

Hampstead Heath

Hampstead is the epicenter of the brand Ransome + Jenkin as it is where Lawrence’s family had their factory, Anglo American Optical which coincidently was directly opposite where Jack’s practice, Ransome Optical, is today.

Hampstead still has the feel of a village with narrow streets full of busy little shops and coffee bars. Walking over the heath is a total escape from London. The beautiful woodlands, ponds and open spaces all have a feel of a natural wilderness yet surrounded by London’s suburbs.

The area is loved by everyone which makes living there very expensive, in fact Hampstead is one of London’s most fashionable and affluent areas. Many famous people from all walks of life enjoy the unique atmosphere of the village itself.
